You are a source of great support for the ministry of Pregnancy Choices! While there are many ways an individual may choose to use his/her gifts or talents, we typically divide volunteers into three main categories: those with direct client contact, those who work behind the scenes, and students or short term volunteers.
If you are interested in serving our clients through Peer-Counseling or teaching client classes, you would be required to attend a 21 hour training (see description below). Those volunteers who choose to serve in roles behind the scenes are not required to attend the entire training, but it would be helpful for you to gain as much training as possible regardless of where you serve.
Our Volunteer Training is offered three times during the year: February, June and October. A $40 materials fee is required along with advance registration. All follow-up training is held at Pregnancy Choices’ main campus. To maintain the quality of care provided, a number of the volunteer positions require on-going participation in quarterly Volunteer Training Workshops. Positions requiring this level of training are indicated below with an asterisk.
