Healing from Abortion
Do you feel alone and unable to be free from the memory of a past abortion? If so, you’re not alone.
In fact, 33% of American women have an abortion at some point, but very few of them ever talk about it.
At first you may feel relief that the crisis is over. But over time, you may have trouble dealing with the loss and the accompanying emotions you feel – like guilt, anxiety, depression, and anger. Self-destructive behaviors such as eating disorders, alcohol and/or substance use, relationship struggles, etc. may begin to surface.
Healing and peace are possible.
Portraits is a 9-week study that helps women heal from the emotional trauma of an abortion experience to a place of forgiveness and peace.
*This small group is led by caring, trained facilitators who have come through their own deep healing. Facilitators are not professional licensed counselors. However, referrals are available upon request. Groups are free to attend. There may be a small cost for materials.
